What to Order at Chili's: Every Item, Judged
There are effectively two Chili's. There's the 3 for Me menu, and there's the printed menu, and the same sandwich can appear on both with a five-dollar gap between them. Order off the wrong one and you'll pay more for less food.
Prices below are national averages. We priced every item at three Chili's locations — Dallas, Columbus, and Queens — and averaged them; the gap between the cheapest market and the priciest runs from about 4% to 11% depending on the dish, so your check will drift. One exception, and it's the important one: 3 for Me starts at $10.99 in all three. Chili's fixes that price nationally while everything else floats, which means the worse your local pricing is, the better the deal gets.
Calories come from Chili's published nutrition data. Read them carefully. The chain lists burgers without their fries, steaks without their sides, and sandwiches without either, and that fine print does a lot of work.
Every item, judged
3 for Me
Order itA drink, a starter, and a main for $10.99. The Big QP Burger inside it costs $14.39 on its own, so Chili's is charging you negative three dollars and change for the other two courses. Because the price is fixed nationally while the printed menu floats, this is the rare deal that gets better in expensive cities.
Triple Dipper
Order itThree appetizers for $17.62, when two orders of Southwestern Eggrolls would run you $29.64. The calorie swing is the widest on the menu because your picks decide it: three orders of bone-in wings sit at the floor, three Nashville Crispers put you past a full rack of ribs. Tasting Table's rundown of the component apps rated the Honey-Chipotle Crispers best and the bone-in wings worst, dry and under-sauced, so the cheap calories are cheap for a reason.
Big Mouth Bites
Order itFour bacon cheeseburger sliders and a pile of fries. The bacon is crumbled onto the bottom bun rather than laid across the patty, so it turns up in every bite instead of sliding out the back on bite two. Chowhound ranked these first out of the eleven items it tried, ahead of the burgers Chili's actually advertises, and at $2.30 over the QP you're getting four burgers instead of one.
Nashville Hot Chicken Crispers Combo
Order itTasting Table's reviewer called himself a hot chicken nerd, said he arrived ready with gatekeep-y criticism, and ranked it the best entrée he tried. The cayenne-and-brown-sugar oil is the actual Nashville technique rather than hot sauce poured over fried chicken, and enough of it pools on the plate to dip back into. The fries came out mushy and the mac bland, so the chicken is doing all of the work.
The Big QP Burger
DecentKetchup, mustard, pickles, two slices of American — a Big Mac that grew up. Chowhound called it their favorite full-sized sandwich by far. Tasting Table got a patty pink in some spots and brown in others with cheese that hadn't melted through, which is a griddle-discipline problem rather than a recipe one. Consistency is the gamble, and 890 calories doesn't count the fries.
Cajun Pasta
DecentThe most divisive dish on the menu: Tasting Table ranked it second of seven and called the Alfredo the star, while Chowhound put it dead last of eleven for a sauce blander than its own toppings. Both agreed the chicken has a uniform, faintly rubbery tenderness that reads processed — order it with shrimp. Big enough for two, and it reheats better than anything else here.
Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas
DecentEvenly griddled with a real crunch, and no shortage of chicken inside. The bacon is the weak link — one reviewer pegged the flavor as artificial, and it lingers through the whole thing. Worth noting it drops to $14.99 on 3 for Me, which is the difference between ambivalence and a yes.
Half Rack of Ribs
DecentThe dish the jingle built, and the last two reviews split hard. Chowhound got tender, fall-off-the-bone meat and explained the method — pre-smoked, then warmed to order. Tasting Table got gristle and jerky-textured patches under sauce it found too sweet. That disagreement is the verdict: the batch decides your night, and $22.06 is real money to roll dice with.
Big Crispy Chicken Sandwich
Skip itTasting Table ranked it last out of seven entrées in April 2026: breading so salty and dry it needed water between bites, a strange sweet popcorn aftertaste, and mayo applied like it was being rationed. The pickles were the best part of the sandwich. Then the insult — the identical sandwich is $10.99 on 3 for Me with a drink and a starter, making the à la carte version the worst five dollars on the menu.
Bacon Rancher Burger
Skip itTwenty dollars. For a burger. Before the fries, which aren't in the 1,710 either. It's the priciest and most caloric burger Chili's sells, and it is not twice the burger that the $10.99 3 for Me QP is.
Classic Sirloin, 6 oz
Skip itThat 250 is the most misleading number Chili's publishes. It's the naked steak: the loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli it arrives with aren't in it. Six ounces of sirloin for $17.49 at a place whose kitchen is built around a fryer is the wrong ask anyway, and if you must, 3 for Me sells the same steak for $16.99 with a drink and a starter.
Quesadilla Explosion Salad
Skip itEleven hundred and eighty calories, more than the Bacon Cheeseburger's 1,130, for something with 'salad' in the name. Fried tortilla wedges, cheese, and a sweet citrus-balsamic over greens that are functionally garnish. Order it because you want a quesadilla. The Santa Fe Salad with grilled chicken is 540.
Frequently asked
Is 3 for Me actually a good deal at Chili's?
Yes, and it's not close. $10.99 gets a drink, a starter, and a main like the Big QP Burger or the Big Crispy Chicken Sandwich — sandwiches that cost $14.39 and $15.96 on their own. Higher tiers at $12.99, $14.99, and $16.99 cover the Big Smasher, the quesadillas, and the 6 oz sirloin, all still under à la carte. The $10.99 entry price was identical in Dallas, Columbus, and Queens when we checked, so it's effectively a bigger discount in expensive markets.
Are Chili's ribs still good?
It depends on the batch, which is the problem. Chowhound reported that the ribs are pre-smoked and warmed to order, and the two most recent reviews landed on opposite sides — one got tender, fall-off-the-bone meat, the other got gristle and dry patches under heavy sauce. At $22.06 for a half rack and $27.62 for a full one, you're paying a premium for a coin flip. The Nashville Hot Crispers at $17.66 are the safer order.
What's the healthiest thing to order at Chili's?
Chili's Guiltless Grill section, which the chain lists as served rather than stripped of its sides: Margarita Grilled Chicken is 640 calories and the Ancho Salmon is 590. Everywhere else, read the fine print. The 6 oz sirloin's 250 calories is steak only, burgers are listed without their fries (a side of Homestyle Fries adds 420), and the Quesadilla Explosion Salad is 1,180. If you want an actual salad, the Santa Fe Salad with grilled chicken is 540.
